The conditions on the route are perfect right now. There’s no mud, hopefully no rain, and the temperatures are rising gradually. I’m not aware of any major issues. There have been no reports from riders who have been around these past few weeks.

Puessss… como digo en la guía, Marzo y Abril son un poco los meses más impredecibles del año… ya lo estás viendo lo que llevamos de mes… Pueden venirte semanas con sol y máximas de más de 20, y pueden venirte semanas de cierzo norte, de lluvia o de las últimas nieves. Cuando yo he planeado escapadas en estas fechas por aquí siempre he hecho lo mismo: me preparaba plan A y plan B, y decidía el día de antes en función de Meteoblue, jejej…

Also, not all of them have a fire place, I tried to mark it on the guide.
In those sorroundings you mentioned, maybe you just find wood in La Portera, or El Collado… the rest are simple and humble.
And yep… refuges are difficult to find on the VV Ojos Negros, out of mountain areas.
Anyway, for example there is a cheap and nice cyclotouring hostel in Jérica. I never tried it, but lots of travellers told me it is so nice…
